DIY | Jewellery with chains and charms

We used various techniques to make these pieces of jewellery. You find the respective step-by-step instructions in the following guides and blog posts:

You will need pliers to shape the loops, wind the wire and to open and close the jumprings.

Earstuds with emeralds and pendants

We used the following DIY components to assemble these earrings:

 

 

The first row of 2mm emerald beads is fastened to the earstud and the cable chain with a piece of 0.4mm wire (See DIY Earrings with gemstone bead links).

The small 3mm semi-precious beads are connected the chain with headpins (See DIY The famous loop).

We used 3mm jumprings to fasten the leaves to the chain (See Smyks' choice of charms and pendants).

 

Earthreads with crescent 

For these earrings we used the following DIY components:

You cut the earthread at the two spots where you want to insert the gemstone beads. You string each bead on a piece of wire and link the earthread back together with the help of the wire. See DIY Earrings with gemstone bead links.

Other gemstone beads are fastened to the chain with headpins. See DIY The famous loop

The charms are connected to the chain with 4mm jumprings. 

Finally, you open the eyelet of the earthread and insert the moon.

 

Earstuds with chain and semi-precious stone beads

 

We used the following DIY components to make these earrings:

 

 

The first semi-precious bead is fastened to the eyelet of the earstud and the chain with 0.4mm wire. See DIY Earrings with gemstone bead links.

The other gemstone beads are connected to the chain with headpins. See DIY The famous loop

The little flower is fastened with a 3mm jumpring.

 

Earthreads with amethyst cluster

We used the following DIY components to make these earrings:

 

 

First, you assemble the amethyst cluster. You find the step-by-step instructions in our blog post DIY Earrings with bead clusters. Once the cluster is finished, you hang it into the loop of the earthread.

 

Bracelet with gemstone beads and charms

We used the following DIY components to make this bracelet:

 

 

You fasten the small gemstone beads to the chain with the help of headpins (see DIY The famous loop) and connect the charms with 4mm jumprings. 

Finally, you attach a lobster claw clasp to one end with a 4mm jumpring and a chain extender to the other end - again with a 4mm jumpring.
