DIY | Sun, Moon, Stars

Hoops with Sun, Moon and Stars

We used the following components to assemble these earrings:

Hoops, 18mm, gold-plated sterling siver

2 star pendants, 6mm, gold-plated steel

Crescent moon with coloured zirconia, gold-plated brass

Sun pendant with dark pink zirconia, gold-plated brass

approx. 6cm cable chain, gold-plated sterling silver

Miyuki seed beads, rondelles, 2.2x1mm, gilded

Jumprings, 3x0.5mm, gold-plated sterling silver

First, you fasten the stars and the sun pendant to the chains with the help of jumprings. Then, you slide the different parts on the hoop in the order you prefer. The small rondelle beads fill the space in between.

Hoops with Crescent Moon and Star

We used the following components to assemble these earrings:

Hoops, 18mm, gold-plated sterling silver

Star pendant, 6mm, gold-plated steel

Link, crecsent moon, gold-plated sterling silver

Headpin with 1.5mm pad, gold-plated sterling silver

Eyepin, gold-plated sterling silver

Wire, 0.4mm, gold-plated sterling silver

+ small semi-precious stone beads

+ tools

For this example, we used a headpin to connect the 3 small beads to the crescent moon. We used an eyepin to make a loop and windings for the star. Finally, we coiled wire around the hoop and incorporated the pendants and small beads in an order we liked.

Earrings with Freshwater Pearl Pendant

We used the following components to assemble these earrings:

Hinged hoops with ornamentation, gold-plated sterling silver

approx. 5cm cable chain, gold-plated sterling-silver

Pendant, freshwater pearl with sun and zirconia

Pendant, uneven, oblong, gold-plated sterling silver

Wire, 0.4mm, gold-plated sterling silver

Headpin with 1.5mm pad, gold-plated sterling silver

Jumprings, 3x0.6mm, gold-plated sterling silver

+ tools

First, you cut the cable chain into two pieces and connect the two pieces with a small freshwater pearl with loops and windings, using 0.4mm wire. In one of the loops you set in a little bead with the help of a headpin. The oblong pendant is fastened to the bottom link of the chain with a jumpring. Finally, you fasten the freshwater pearl pendant and the chain to the eyelet of the hoop with two single jumprings.

Earrings with Large Crescent Moon Pendant

We used the following components to make these earrings:

Earwires with spiral and loop, gold-plated sterling silver

Pendant, crescent moon with 4 loops, gold-plated sterling silver

Pendant, uneven, oblong, gold-plated sterling silver

Link, uneven surface, gold-plated silver

Headpin with 1.5mm pad, gold-plated sterling silver

Wire, 0.4mm, gold-plated sterling silver

+ small semi-precious stone beads

+ tools

The three sequences of beads and pendants are assembled with the help of wire and jumprings. When you are happy with the design of your sequences, you fasten them to the eyelets of the moon pendant with small jumprings. Finally, you hang the upper eyelet of the moon into the loop of the ear wire.

Earrings with Long Chain and Crescent Moon

We used the following components to assemble these earrings:

Earwires with loop, chain and peg, gold-plated sterling silver

Pendant, crescent moon, hammered surface, gold-plated sterling silver

Link, oblong, hammered, gold-plated sterling silver

Pendant with citrine teardrop, gold-plated sterling silver

Cable chain, gold-plated sterling silver

Small freshwater pearl, 2.5mm

+ tools

The different components of this earring are assembled with jumprings and wire ... with a small piece of chain at the end. When the sequence is finished, you open the eyelet of the earing carefully and insert the moon pendant followed by the last link of the chain. Finally, you close the eyelet again.
