Smyks.com has recieved a new type of jewelry cord which is especially suitable for bracelets. We call it “Spinning Tube” because it consists of a fine nylon thread wrapped around flexible and hypo-allergic PVC plastic tube. The cord is available in many colours and is relatively durable.
You can combine the bracelets in your own colour combinations as shown above, or you can decorate them individually with charms and spacers.
Below is described step by step instructions on how to make the bracelets yourself.

To make the bracelet, you’ll need the following materials:

1 pc. spinning tube, approx. 18cm
1 pc. 5mm magnetic clasp
Jewelry adhesive
A lighter or something similar

Because the outer layer of a spinning tube easily frays when cut, and it needs to be burned slightly for the nylon to melt and secure.

Disassemble the magnetic clasp and put a thin trail of jewelry adhesive all around the insides of the clasp. Then attach the cord end to the short part of the clasp with a little bit of glue. Note that the easiest way to affix the cord end to the clasp if you use a twisting movement. This also makes sure that the glue is evenly distributed and ensures the best results.

In the same manner, you glue the opposite end of the spinning tube to the long part of the magnetic clasp, be careful not to glue the cord into the wrong end of the clasp.

Your bracelet is now finished.
